Giorgio Armani Silk Luminous Foundation Review

Giorgio Armani Silk Luminous Foundation Review

Foundation surely is a tricky business. When you get the formula right, you don’t get lucky with the undertone. We, humans, come in different shades and undertones. A true diversity indeed. I always like to have a smooth skin finish without using heavy makeup. I follow a bunch of makeup artists and got to know about Armani foundations! From the Red carpet to Victoria’s Secret models, the foundation seems to be the only thing common in most makeup artists’ kits. Being in the market for over a decade with such good olive shades this foundation truly deserves the Title “legendary”. So today I am going to give you my thoughts on the Giorgio Armani Silk Luminous Foundation and my experience with it.

Product Description:

Giorgio Armani Silk Luminous Foundation is a Lightweight liquid foundation with a silky smooth texture to give you a perfect no-makeup look with a satin glow. Armani’s high-intensity pigment gives a natural-looking flawless finish that you can flaunt every day.

Giorgio Armani Silk Foundation is good for all skin types – be it oily, dry, or combination skin. Its silky glowy finish makes it suitable for young as well as mature skin.

Giorgio Armani Silk Foundation Review

Packaging: Housed in a glass pump bottle, the Giorgio Armani Silk Luminous Foundation has a premium look and feel to it. It looks sleek in the vanity although it can be a little tricky to travel with given the fact glass is prone to breakage.

Texture: The product does have a texture of silk. It glides on the skin smoothly and takes about 20 seconds to settle down. After that, it does not budge and doesn’t transfer onto the mask.

Fragrance: This doesn’t have the best perfume for foundation. The Giorgio Armani Silk Luminous Foundation has a weird alcoholic scent that goes away after you put it on the skin. I don’t mind it but it might be an aversion for those with sensitive senses.

My Experience:

Giorgio Armani Silk Luminous Foundation is one of the foundations that hardly has any bad reviews on the internet. And I got to know why. It’s truly a great foundation. You can’t detect the foundation in your skin. It truly looks like skin.

The foundation comes in a wide variety of shades and undertones. I wear shade 4 which has a neutral olive undertone and is suitable for NC20 Mac skin types.

Giorgio Armani Silk Luminous Foundation is not a full-coverage foundation. But it can be built up to medium and heavy coverage from light layers. It does not crease or give a cakey look.

The wear time is incredible if you do not have very oily skin. Although I believe that can be settled with makeup setting spray and powder. It has denatured alcohol that is supposed to help with wear time. But it isn’t the best ingredient to use for some skin types. Personally, I found that using a primer with the Giorgio Armani Silk Luminous Foundation gives a long-lasting wear time.

If any bride is looking for a natural-looking foundation that looks great in photographs then this should be on your buy list mainly because it doesn’t flashback in photographs giving you a ghostly unnatural look.
