Toni & Guy is an award-winning hairdressing brand that I’ve seen since my childhood. I was a professional dancer once and only this hair styling product from Toni and Guy could hold my unruly hair. At that moment I didn’t know they had their line of shampoo which is used in various saloons until one of my favorite hairstylists pointed it out. It is much more affordable than a lot of the other saloon products and can be found in the sale! Which is the main thing I am looking for as a broke-ass student. So did the product live up to my expectations? Let’s see in this article. So if you are looking forward to trying a new product that is not that popular online but left its mark in the professional haircare industry then please keep on reading.

The shampoo comes in a trendy, classic white-blue packaging. It’s sleek and well-packaged. The shampoo comes up rightfully through the dispenser and it doesn’t exert more than you need which is nice. But this can take up a lot of space in the bag so you definitely can not travel with it.
The texture of the shampoo is not runny/ liquidy or rich cream-like. It is like one in-between – lotion-like similar to conditioners. It lathers up first then gets settled down after rubbing it on the hair. You will not need a lot of the product even if you have a long length of hair, which is definitely the biggest pro I can think of.
The Toni and Guy Frizz free Shampoo does have a clear scent that feels and smells like a luxury product. It does go away after washing so one doesn’t need to worry about headache or sinus problems due to the scent. I love the smell and love to use it day after day.
I believe this Toni & Guy Smooth Definition Shampoo can have different results on different hair textures and types.
For me, as someone who has very thin and dry rough hair it works above average. I wouldn’t pay full price for it. It takes away the frizz, the hair doesn’t need more moisture or hydration after using this and my hair doesn’t look flatten out.
It also makes my hair look like I have a lot of volume. But for someone who has a lot of curls then I would say this would not be enough hydrating for them to keep their curls and waves defined. It might look very rough and dry.
Even in my dry hair from the third day, the hair looks like it may need some extra boost of moisturization. But when I was leveling up for festivals recently then I used this product to give me that natural volume and blowout model look.
All in one this is a product worth trying if you have a hair like me.
