Gk Hair Balancing Shampoo Review

It looks like a typical salon product – with a minimalistic white and yellow detailing. It has a flip opening which opens when you press it on. It’s closes shut tight so you can handle it without much care for spillage. And although it has a very sleek and slender build, surprisingly it doesn’t take up too much space in the luggage so you can travel with it if you need to.

It doesn’t have any artificial fragrance nor does it have any bad chemical scent – which is great for someone with a sensitive nose and sinus problem. It does have the signature GK shampoo scent which is there in all of the products. This scent is very subtle and helps with eradicating hair odor that comes from scalp sweat.

The texture of the GK shampoo is very creamy. It is like you can use it as a lightweight moisturizer for your hair. In color, it looks white and it lathers up nicely for a second. After that, the product settles down to nothing. My hair stylists told me to leave the shampoo for a minute so the keratin could be deposited into the hair. After that, you can wash it off.

My Experience:

This shampoo from GK is one of the best shampoos I have ever used.

It keeps your hair very shiny and hydrated. My hair looks like I have gone through 3 hours of spa. It somewhat has a cooling effect which makes me feel calm and fresh. But if you do a lot of oiling then I believe you can not get all the oil off from this shampoo because it doesn’t have any harsh surfactants. So use a sulphate-based shampoo or clarifying shampoo first.

I love that it retains my hair’s natural waves and curls and gives a well defined look.

I know this is a very expensive product but I didn’t need much product for my mid length hair so one bottle lasted for a long time.

My hair is prone to oiliness by the third day and it was the same case with this shampoo. For thin hair types like me, you may have to wash your hair more than once a week. One also doesn’t need a conditioner too, it is that good but if you opt for one then I suggest you use a lightweight serum and conditioner.

  • Gentle, Sulphate free shampoo.
  • Makes your hair very shiny and fresh.
  • Makes your hair hydrated and moisturizing even if you forget to use any conditioner.
  • Curly girl-friendly.
  • Makes your curls super-defined and well-maintained.
  • Looks like you have gone to a spa yesterday.
  • You only need a little product.

  • Very expensive.
  • Not for oily hair types.
  • Doesn’t get rid of heavy hair oils in one wash.

My Rating: 4.5/5

Would I recommend it? Yes, I wholeheartedly recommend and going to repurchase this product.
