My take on Maybelline Fit Me Concealer :
Packaging: The fit me concealer comes in a slim rectangular glass tube packaging with a doe foot applicator. As you can see the tube is transparent, hence the shade and amount of product on the tube is clearly visible. I find the packaging to be extremely travel friendly and the length of applicator is perfect for easier application.
Shade: I picked up the shade 20 Sand Sable which has yellow undertones. The shade is light and would suit fairer skin tones. This particular shade would go well as a highlighting concealer for light to medium skin tones.
Texture: It is not runny but still liquid enough to blend easily. The formuls is very very light weight which doesn’t feel like an additional layer on the skin. It sits nicely on skin without being cakey as well.
Performance: I have used and abused this concealer to all extents. I have used it just by it’s own for spot correcting. I have used it before foundation, after foundation and right along with foundation. It works well anyhow. Its lightweight formula makes the blending process such an ease. Once set in place, it is not even tacky to touch and for dry skin folks, you might not even need to set it with powder. I have a dry skin, but I simply pat one dip of compact brush all over my face including under my eyes.
Coverage: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is a medium to high coverage concealer. It’s buildable but I suggest to never add another layer after setting the first layer with the powder. It will crease and will let you down for sure. So, if you aren’t happy with the coverage in first layer, do layer it up once more and then set it with loose powder. Also, note that it won’t cover very dark blemishes though it does hide redness on my face; for blemishes you might have to use a color correctors like the green/orange concealers from L.A.girl.
Staying power: It stays put for upto 7-8 hours without setting spray and with setting spray it will stay in place for good 10-12 hours which is unbelievable.
