Milani Conceal and Perfect Foundation

Do you guys have that one foundation…your most favorite one which will work like magic for you always and you keep it safe only to use it on “special occasions”? I also have a favorite of mine, which I only use during my so called special occasions like weddings, morning/day light events and my own birthday.. lol yeah… these are my kind of special events. Stay hooked to know which foundation is it and why…what makes it “the one” for me. So beauties, today I am going to review my Holy Grail Foundation which has changed my makeup game like anything. I am talking about the Milani 2 in 1 Foundation which comes from the brand that never goes on discount even at nykaa….for more than 10% which is also very rare or may be not at all. This I am mentioning here categorically because for us Indians, now that the website Nykaa.com has become one stop shop to order all our cosmetics and skin care online and that too at great discounts almost always. But this brand never offers discounts! I waited for too long for it to go on discount but it never did and eventually I grabbed it 5 months back and since then I have been loving it and falling for it even more every time I use it.

My take on Milani 2 in 1 Foundation:

Packaging: What a classy packaging of the glass bottle that comes along with a pump. The good part is the pump never takes out excess quantity of product and has a great control over it – you get only one smaller than pea sized amount of product in a single pump. But, 2 pumps can cover the entire face easily since it spreads easily. The bottle also contains details about the product properly mentioned on it and the expiry date is clearly seen as it is labelled on the cap in big letters.

Shade: I am in shade 03 Light Beige. The shade is a beige with yellow tones and matches my skin tone very well.

Texture and Consistency: It has a semi-runny consistency which is not at all flowy but not too thick as well. It’s texture is creamy and quite thick but doesn’t feel at all.

Blendability: I haven’t ever come across such a thick textured foundation which blends like a liquid foundation. This is one foundation which will do everything on it’s own and gives more or less the same finish using different blending tools like fingers, beauty sponge or a brush. I haven’t used it using any other tool but with these 3 the finish is more or less the same, which means it won’t give you streaks if you are using a brush (provided you don’t use a bad quality brush), it won’t pick up excess product to give you a sheer or less coverage finish if you are using a beauty sponge and it won’t even get settled in your fingers a lot while blending leaving back a lot of product on face only. So, I am highly impressed with its blendability, texture and finish.

Finish: I feel it’s suitable for all skin types since it did not dry out my skin even more after application and it is not a dewy foundation as well, so even oily skin people can use it. The Milani 2 in 1 Foundation ends up giving a healthy matte finish which has a sheen to it… so it’s somewhere between Matt and dewy finish and I love such foundations.

Coverage: It claims it has medium to full coverage which is absolutely wrong because it is out-rightly the most full coverage foundation ever with this kind of light weight formulation. The kind of coverage it gives is unbelievable for it’s consistency and blendability power. I am giving out huge thumbs up on it’s coverage. Because no other foundation has been able to cover few stubborn marks on my face which are not ready to leave my face since ages now, so am extremely impressed with it’s performance. Having said that, it still doesn’t make my face look cakey and doesn’t even give the feeling of suffocating the skin at all.

Staying Power: It doesn’t even need to be set with a loose powder or compact. It stays in place without even setting with face powder for a minimum of 8 hours very easily, provided you have used a makeup fixing spray. If applied on by it’s own, the foundation won’t move for upto 5 hours at least. It doesn’t move or budge at all but then having said that, it does transfer to your phone quiet a lot and it can’t be avoided. Good part is same isn’t visible on the face though. AlsoMilani 2 in 1 Foundation is 100% water proof and you can only take it off from your face using a heavy oil based makeup remover. Isn’t it just great!

Pros:

  • Extremely full coverage.
  • Buildable without making it look cakey.
  • Light weight.
  • Packaging is travel friendly.
  • Good quantity of product is given in the bottle.
  • Very less quantity is used at one go.
  • One bottle would go a long way.
  • Aptly priced at rs. 1200
  • 7 shades available as per  Indian skin tones.
  • Doesn’t oxidize.

Cons:

  • None for me.

Rating: 5/5

Do I recommend? Definitely yes.
