The Saem Saemmul Real Tint Review
Packaging: The Saem Saemmul Real Tint comes in a typcial liquid lipstick packaging. The bottle is made of plastic with cute designs on it. The upper part is metallic where the wand is attached. It has doe foot applicator that is flattened at the end. The wand is perfect for smooth application on the corners of the lips. The overall packaging is simple while being user friendly and travel friendly as well.
Texture: It has a semi runny liquidy texture that’s quite easy to control.
Fragrance: The Saem Saemmul Real Tint has a fruity fragrance, as that of strawberry. It tastes fruity as well. So if you do not like fragrances & taste in your lipstick, you might want to skip this lip tint altogether.
Efficacy: The Saem Saemmul Real Tint is an intensely vivid tint and has a juicy, water based gel formula. I have been using this product quite a lot lately. The texture is nice and spreadable but it dries off quickly, so you have to work with it quickly. I like to create an ombre effect with this tint and also a full lip, after waiting for the first layer to dry out. The lip tint dries down to a matte finish within seconds of application.
The product is however drying on my lips and it accentuates fine lines on my lips. So prepping your lips by exfoliating and applying a lip balm beforehand is highly suggested.
The shade I have is a fuchsia pink (it looks a bit reddish on the images above, but it is pinkish in real). The shade suits well for medium to dusky skin tones. The color is sheerly pigmented and looks natural on my lips. Anyhow, the lip tint is buildable and is prominent with two swipes giving fuller looking lips. The color can be worn every day as well as special occasions. I usually wear it as a stain under my lipstick, so that I’ll still have some color after the lipstick fades. The lip tint is smudge proof and does not transfer much once it’s set.
Coming to its staying power, The Saem Saemmul Real Tint lasts for about more than five hours and doesn’t budge that easily. It usually starts to fade away from the centre of the lips and it tends to leave a stain behind, so I don’t have to touch up later. But then it is really hard to get off without a makeup remover.
Pros:
- Cute packaging.
- Good applicator.
- Long lasting formula.
- Transfers very little.
- Gives a natural finish.
- Leaves a pretty stain behind.
- Doubles up as a cheek stain.
Cons:
- Limited shade range.
- Difficult to remove.
- Dries out lips and accentuates lip lines.
Rating: 4/5
Would I recommend? Probably yes, if it’s easily available in your locality. It’s a beautiful lip stain that doubles up as a cheek stain. Just make sure to apply a lip balm before hand to avoid dryness.
