Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream Review

An eye cream is an essential product to incorporate into your skincare routine because the skin around the eyes is very different than the rest of our face. Unlike the skin on the rest of your face, the skin around eyes are more sensitive and does not have pores, therefore wrinkles, dark circles, eye bags can occur very easily. So it is ideal to buy a product that is meant for your under eyes rather than just using your regular moisturizer. While I was looking for a very hydrating and lightweight eye cream, I came across this Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream. Snail Products are best known for being skin soothers and healers, so it’s great to known that this product has that in it. Let’s see how this eye cream worked for my combination skin with mild dark circles.

Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream Review

Packaging: The Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream comes in a recyclable brown colored glass jar packaging with a screw lid. The product is further housed in a orange colored card box which has relevant details about the product, mostly written in Korean. A small plastic spatula is provided inside the box to scoop out the product. Overall the packaging is nice and hygienic to use.

Texture: The Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream is white in color and has a smooth gel cream consistency.

Fragrance: It has a light scent, that’s similar to a medicated hand sanitizer. But it is not a very strong smell to bother sensitive noses.

How to use Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream?

You should apply your eye cream after cleansing, toning and serum step. If your moisturizer is lighter in texture, your eye cream goes as the last step. Ideally you should apply your skincare products from thinnest to thickest texture.
Less is more in case of eye creams, so take a tiny amount of the eye cream on your ring fingers and gently apply it on the under eye area massaging it gently, without stretching the eye area too much.

Efficacy: Eye creams take the longest time to show it’s results, so with any product I suggest to use it patiently without expecting miracle results overnight. I have been using this Mizon Eye product for over a year now and I have to say that I am quite happy with this product.

I like apply this product after moisturizer as it quite rich for my combination skin. It takes time to absorb into the skin, yet it does not make my skin feel tacky. Once absorbs, it feels lightweight yet very hydrating. It is very effective to use in winter whenever the skin around eyes need extra attention. The cream moisturizes the under eye area nicely and helps to reduce puffiness and dark circles with consistent use.

On days when I want to apply makeup I use this cream half an hour before I start with my makeup application, so my under eye area is not dehydrated from all the products that I use there.

A little bit of this cream goes a long way, but if I take too much at once, I like to use the excess on fine lines around my mouth, on my décolletage. It restores firmness and elasticity. There is a huge hype around snail secretion filtrate products in Korea, as Korean Skincare is majorly focused on maintaining good hydration of skin, and Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream does not disappoint.
