I love matte lipsticks because they last long and do not transfer. Though liquid matte lipsticks have excellent stay time, I often find them too drying for my already dry lips. Creamy matte lipsticks, on the other hand, are quite comfortable and provide moisture matte kind of finish. That is why, I prefer creamy matte lipsticks over pure mattes for daily use. Today I am going to share my experience on Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick Touch of Spice. This shade is not new; it was previously available in Maybelline’s Color Sensational range. Now, it comes in the revamped Creamy Matte range by Maybelline. Here us what I think about this pink based neutral lip colour.
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks are infused with moisture for smooth and comfortable matefinish that lasts all day long. Available in 35 shades this range has a color for every mood and occasion.

Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick Touch of Spice Review
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a sturdy silver. Its click-shut cap has matte brown colour and translucent finish. The entire relaunched collection of Creamy Mattes come in exactly same outer packaging; just the bottom part has a colour-coded sticker with shade name. The ingredient list is detailed in the outer seal. You need to get rid of the seal to open the cap. The bullet is not flimsy; I have already dropped it a few times but thankfully the lipstick bullet did not break! Overall, the packaging is of good quality and long lasting.
Shade & Texture: The shade Touch of Spice is a mid-toned pink based nude that looks almost mauve on less pigmented lips and a perfect pink-brown on deeper lips. The shade has warm undertone so it complements most Indian skintones. This is a muted lip colour that suits everyone. This lipstick has smooth and creamy texture. It glides on without drag and pull. though it looks matte on lips, it does not settle into matte finish like liquid lip colours.
Pigmentation & Staying Power: This lipstick has amazing colour pay-off. I have medium pigmented lips. I get the true colour in single swipe. My mom has extremely pigmented lips. She needs 2 swipes for full opacity. This lipstick stays on for at least 4-5 hours if I am not eating a meal. With a little touch up, it lasts for another 3 hours. It is not a transfer-proof formula though the transfer amount is considerably lesser than satin finish lip colours.
Fragrance: This lipstick has a mild floral and vanilla fragrance. The entire Creamy Matte range has exactly same smell. The fragrance does not feel bothersome and goes off shortly after application.
My Experience with Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick Touch of Spice:
I was looking for a pocket-friendly dupe of MAC Twig and that is the reason I got this particular shade from Maybelline’s creamy matte collection. I like mauve lip colours but berry toned mauves look dark on my lips. This one has a beautiful warm undertone that adds a bit polished look to my day to day minimal looks. This shade looks pretty even with absolutely no makeup. When I am in a hurry I just apply this on the lips and kajal on my waterline. The shade looks equally beautiful with intense eye looks. Though this one does not dry out the lips or exaggerate the fine lines of my lips, I still exfoliate my lips before applying it. The shade comes out better and the finish looks smoother with exfoliated lips. I sometimes blot the excess colour and moisture off with a tissue to get the perfect mlbb look. This way the the colour-transfer stops.

Would I Recommend? Maybelline’s Touch of Spice is a perfect pink based nude lip colour for most India skin tones. This dupe of MAC Twig has comfy finish and good stay time. So, I will definitely recommend it to everyone. If you are looking for a daily wear lip colour for workplace then this is a must-have for you.
