We girls have never ending lust for lip colours. That is the reason we end up having multiple similar kind of lipstick with a little difference! I am also a lipstick hoarder but if you ask me about bare minimal necessities in the lippy category, I have no other option but to name just 2-3 shades. To create any viable minimalistic day to day wear makeup look we only need a red, a brown nude and a pink based nude and nothing else. For festivities you can add up a bright pink or magenta and a marsala or orange but not everyone is comfortable with such bold shades. Continuing our discussion, today I am going to share my experience on Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick Nude Nuance. This is a perfect brown based neutral lipstick that suits most Indian skin tones. This is a close dupe for MAC’s popular matte lipstick Whirl. Let’s read on to know how this lipstick fared on me.

Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick Nude Nuance Review
Packaging: This lipstick comes in standard silver bullet packaging of Maybelline. Its click-shut cap is matte and translucent. Previously this lipstick was a part of Maybelline’s old color sensational collection and the price point was around Rs.600. Now, the formula has been improved and it is available in creamy matte range with just Rs.299! Maybelline has also changed the packaging slightly. The current packaging is sturdy and extremely travel-friendly.
Shade: The shade Nude Nuance is a neutral undertoned brown. This kind of toned down brown looks perfect on most Indian skin tones. It is also an MLBB shade for many Indian complexions. This shade is a close dupe for MAC Whirl. The creamy matte texture also looks quite similar when applied to the lips.
Texture & Pigmentation: This lipstick has a smooth and creamy formula though it looks matte on the lips. It feels very light and comfortable on the lips. Plus, it does not settle into extremely matte finish like liquid lipsticks. This lipstick is superb in terms of pigmentation. I get one-swipe opaque finish. Many of the matte nude lipsticks give streaky finish but this one gives perfectly even finish. The shade is not transfer-proof though. It does not transfer like satin finish lip colors but still the colour transfer issue is there.
Fragrance: This lipstick has a light floral and vanilla kind of fragrance. The smell is very light and does not linger.
My Experience: To tell you the truth, I am not a big fan of brown neutral lip shades specially those with cool or neutral undertone. I used tho think, they suck all the colour off your face and give a lifeless and dull look. This Nude Nuance shade has been able to prove me wrong. This shade is 2-3 tones deeper than my lip’s natural tint and it does not clash with my skin’s undertone. So, I get a perfect everyday nude lip whenever I use this. This MAC Whirl dupe is a great officewear. I even wear it for other formal occasions. I do black smokey eyes rarely but when I do, I use this in my lips to tone down the intensity of smokey look. Another nice thing with this lippy is that, it does not crumble or settle into the fine lines of the lips over time. It fades evenly and does not leave any annoying tint behind. Some nude lipsticks from Maybelline’s old creamy matte lip range gave uneven finish. thankfully this new ones do not have such issue. This lipstick stays for 4-5 hours without meals. Then it starts to fade from the inner parts of this lips.

Would I Recommend? Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick in Nude Nuance is a brown nude that even the most makeup shy person will love. This comfortable matte lipstick is perfect as everyday wear lipcolor and for formal occasion and office wear shade. I would definitely recommend this shade to everyone from beginner to pro in makeup. I generally don’t repurchase lipsticks but if I can ever finish this big bullet I might think about repurchasing as I am really enjoying this shade.
