Beauty Of Joseon Sunscreen Review: Relief Sun Rice+Probiotcics SPF 50+ PA++++

Beauty Of Joseon Sunscreen

Korean sunscreens have been storming the world since wearing sunscreen became popular. It’s not only about skin cancer anymore, it’s about skin health, hyperpigmentation, and aging all in general. Most sunscreens have bad texture and leave a white cast. Particularly it’s very problematic and expensive to create a good quality sunscreen even for brands. If the formulation seems too good to be true then you might find coconut oil as a sunscreen ingredient at the top of the list. But Korean Sunscreens changed that. They brought in some of the most cosmetically elegant sunscreens and a lot of diversity was seen in the market. People of color can use them without hesitating as they don’t make you look like a white ghost. This Beauty Of Joseon Sunscreen very popular recently because of its verified SPF rating. It also contains Rice Extract which is known skin brightening ingredient commonly used in Korean Skincare Products. I bought this sunscreen recently and here is my experience with it. Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen Review

Packaging: Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun comes in a white plastic tube with a screw cap. The product comes out very easily and in an appropriate manner when squeezed. The packaging is very aesthetically pleasing and looks great in the cabinet. Overall the product build of the Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen is something I really like.

Texture: It has a lightweight cream texture that applies like a dream. It blends onto the skin and absorbs really fast. If you live in very humid weather then I will recommend you to only use the sunscreen in the morning as one wouldn’t need a moisturizer after using this one. This sunscreen provides sufficient moisturization to keep the skin soft.

Fragrance: The Beauty Of Joseon Sunscreen is a fragrance-free sunscreen. Indeed, it is true to its claims. The product doesn’t have any particular scent to it. I don’t know how they did that but I must say I am very impressed.

My Experience:

This sunscreen has my heart. I always thought sunscreens make my skin dull and dark but this is only the sunscreen that makes my skin very bright and clear even after peak hours in the sun. If it was waterproof then it would have been my holy grail sunscreen for sure.

This is a great sunscreen that leaves my skin very soft and supple. It gets absorbed beautifully without any stickiness or dryness. My pores somehow look blurred and my redness is gone for the day. This is a sunscreen with a non-greasy dewy finish. I don’t need any moisturizer in summer and it was an all-in-one moisturizer plus sunscreen product for my combination skin. It does not leave any white cast.

I have used makeup on top of this sunscreen and it doesn’t pill or anything. It looks great with makeup. However,it is not water resistant or sweatproof. I can see it coming down my cheeks when sweating. The reapplication process is a breeze and can be done within minutes. Oily skin people may have to powder heavily when using this sunscreen.

What I love is that sunscreen has many skin-beneficial ingredients such as Rice Extract and Niacinamide, both of which have brightening aspects and are great for acne control. It is also rich in antioxidants such as Vitamin E and Green Tea. The sunscreen is free of alcohol, fragrance, and essential oils to make it suitable for sensitive skin types.

Added to this, the brand states on its website that it has more than SPF 50 value and that it was tested in more than two labs in Spain and Korea.

Overall, the Beauty Of Joseon Sunscreen is good for combination, dry, and normal skin types. It will be good for oily skin in winters but not in summers.

Pros:

  1. Chemical sunscreen with new-age UV filters offers broad spectrum protection.
  2. Tested by independent labs and certified to have a high SPF rating.
  3. Loaded with lots of skin beneficial ingredients such as Niacinamide, Glycerin, Rice Extracts, and Green Tea Extracts.
  4. It’s a Moisturizing formula so acts as a 2-in-1 moisturizer+sunscreen.
  5. Blends really fast and doesn’t leave a streaky greasy feeling on the skin.
  6. It makes my skin appear bright and clear.
  7. Prevented sunburns, even in peak hours with reapplications.
  8. All in all moisturizer and sunscreen.
  9. Works great under makeup.

Cons:

  1. Rice Extract may not suit everyone.
  2. Can be a little bit too moisturizing if you have very oily skin.
  3. Not waterproof or sweatproof.
  4. Very expensive for a 50 ml product.
  5. Availability might be an issue.

Rating: 5/5

Would I recommend it? Yes, I would recommend this product if you have the means to splurge on a sunscreen that would last you half a month. It’s definitely a great sunscreen to try.
