Today I’m going to review a product from the much raved US based cosmetics brand Nyx. From the title you might have known, the product I’m reviewing today is the Nyx Prismatic Eyeshadow. I got the prismatic eyeshadow as a gift from my sister-in-law when she was back from US. As she knew that I don’t go for bold colors on an everyday basis, I like that she got me a shade that can be worn easily without going overboard. Nyx Prismatic EyeShadows are available in various shades ranging from neutral bronzes to bold blues. I have it in the shade Golden Peach. So without any further ado, let’s get into the review.

My experience with NYX Prismatic Eyeshadow Golden Peach:
Packaging: The eyeshadow comes in a round silver colored pot with a flip open top. I love the packaging so much. It has a small bow clasp which is so cute. The transparent lid makes it easy to identify the color of the eyeshadow. Since they are soft pressed powder eyeshadows, there is chance that the eyeshadow may crumble. So I would not suggest to travel with it as it might get shattered. The eyeshadow is not placed inside a metal pan like any other eyeshadow so it is best not to de-pot them.
Color: The shade Golden peach is a light peach shade with metallic golden shimmers. I like that the shade is not too orange-ish peach and has a slight warm pinkish undertone to it. The golden shimmers are so beautiful and makes my eyes to pop out. It gives subtly shimmery finish than glittery. This would be a good crease color too and would universally flatter different eye colors.
Texture: The eyeshadow is soo soft and has a smooth buttery texture. It applies very smoothly and is incredibly very easy to work with. I noticed some fall outs when applying it but once it is set, it neither budges nor falls out. It blends like a dream and can be diffused out in the crease or packed on the lid for more intense color.
Pigmentation: It is highly pigmented. The color can be intensified when used with a base or primer. When I tried using them wet, they appeared to be super metallic.
Longevity: Coming to the staying power, it is quite long lasting and this particular shade stayed on my lids for good 7 hours without a primer. With primer, it would last even longer. The darker shades would stay even longer which is big plus.
- Cute packaging.
- Smooth buttery texture.
- Beautiful wearable peachy shade.
- High pigmentation.
- Staying power.
- Since the eyeshadow is very soft, it might shatter while travelling with it.
- Price is higher in India.
- Fall outs when applying.
Nyx Prismatic Eyeshadow in Golden Peach is a subtle peachy metallic eyeshadow that is highly pigmented and long lasting. It gives a subtle pop of color to the eyes which is suitable for everyday wear. But considering the price in India, I would not repurchase it again. There may be other options available in the market in this price range.
