Kiehl’s is one of the best commercial herbal brands that gives legendary results, at least one of the very best results you can expect from a herbal brand. Kiehl’s is also one of the old skincare brands that have maintained its credibility since its inception. It has along with a list of intensive skincare products, and the Midnight Recovery Concentrate is one of those. I had my eyes on this product for quite a while and I bought it recently. Let us see what magic the infamous Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate did to my skin.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate Review

Packaging: Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate comes in a dark blue glass bottle with a glass dropper that has a black cap. The glass dropper has a push and release type of cap unlike the regular pincher type of droppers. Though the glass bottle is of considerable thickness, I still feel that it is not suitable for traveling purposes since glass may break on impact.

Color, Texture & Fragrance: The serum is completely transparent, like water, I really had a hard time getting a picture of it on my hands. It is not sticky, but it has a silky finish to it like a hair serum would have but it is not heavy at all on the skin. It has a flowery scent that instantly soothes you and doesn’t overpower your senses. This flowery scent doesn’t come across like some synthetic scents, it is because of the flower’s essential oils.

My Experience: Since I am into Korean Skincare Routine, I apply this serum after toning and only pat it down on my skin. One word of caution, this serum is lightweight but don’t take more than 3 drops for your face and neck otherwise you may end with shiny skin. For those who are going to use this serum for the first time, I will advise not to use this one, not because you need to go through the learning curve of using only 3-4 drops for the entire face and neck, but you don’t want to waste an expensive product by using more than what is required.

Results are exemplary though ladies, hands down one of the best serums to own. Even at the risk of being ridiculed, let me say just one thing “This is a product that will change your skin in one night” and it did wonders on my skin. On the next day, I could see that my skin was soft, glowing and pores looked smaller (I have combination skin and at times pores on my T-junction look big in the morning). After 7 nights of use, I just couldn’t believe that my skin can look this healthy. My mother also used this product simultaneously, she said that it reduced the appearance of fine lines and hyper-pigmentation near her eyes. This serum is especially great if you have a big day planned in few weeks and you have no time for facials, just apply this serum diligently every night and see results. It is a great anti-aging product for people of all ages.

The Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is suitable for all skin types, including oily skin and it hasn’t clogged my pores so it’s safe to say that it suits acne-prone skin as well. Do follow up with a light gel-based moisturizer if you have oily skin and nice hydrating cream if you have dry skin to lock in the goodness of the serum into your skin for it to repair your skin overnight.

• Not travel friendly

Rating: I will give 4.5/5, I did not give it full marks because the packaging is not traveled friendly, otherwise I have no reasons whatsoever to not give it a 5/5 rating.

Would I recommend it? I would highly recommend the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, especially to people who have mature skin. Mark my words, you are not going to find any other product that is going to give better results than this serum. Go, ladies, just go buy this.
