Face masks are perfect skincare treatments you can easily do at home at your convenience. Generally I love using face masks as they give instant results. I like to make my own face masks using kitchen ingredients, in that way I can choose ingredients that suit my skin type. However occasionally I do use ready made face packs when I’m in a hurry. When I received SaND for Soapaholics Deadly Face Mask in my September 2016 Fab Bag I had to give it a try. Lets get into the detail.
Ingredients: Peppermint, Rosemary, Dead Sea Mud, Aloe Vera, Almond & Grapeseed Essential oils, Blend of Peppermint, Tea Tree, Neroli, Nutmeg, Ext. blend of Vanilla & Pomegranate and Chlorophyll.
Price: Rs.236 for 20 gm, Rs.708 for 60 gm, Rs.1180 for 100 g
Shelf Life: 6 months from date of manufacture.
My take on SaND for Soapaholics Deadly Face Mask:
The product comes in their signature golden plastic tub with a screw type cover. Since it’s a tub, you need to dip your fingers to take the product out, so some might feel it unhygienic. I use a spoon or spatula. The Deadly Face Mask is a Mud based mask which is greyish green in color. It has a thick paste consistency with uneven particles that is not gritty. To be honest it does not smell good at all. I think it’s the dead sea mud which gives that weird scent, also I could smell a hint of peppermint. The fragrance is the one which kept me off in trying out this mask sooner. Anyway somehow I ended up trying it out.
Coming to the application and efficacy, I took a good amount of the product and applied a thin layer on my wet face. It spreads quite easily on wet face, you can also mix a little rose water if you want. As soon as I applied it gave me a cooling and soothing sensation, I am sure its because of the peppermint. It was not the tingling or the irritating type though. I loved the coolness it gave. The mask dries out pretty fast, in about 10 minutes. While washing, I slightly scrubbed my face so that the particles might give slight exfoliation. The minty coolness was still there on my face even after washing the mask. The face mask exfoliates well and removes every bits of impurity from my skin giving a subtle glow. This mask does not make my skin feel stretchy or dry. The essential oils present in the mask gives a slightly oily feeling. Very oily skin beauties might find the hydration too much. Even though I have oily skin, I don’t like products that makes my skin super dry so I loved the hydration it gave. It didn’t cause me any breakouts when I used it. But I cannot guarantee you that it might not break you out as I said it gives an oily feeling and it might be comedogenic.
The Good:
- All natural and handmade.
- Free of chemicals.
- Nice texture so application is easy.
- Removes impurities efficiently.
- Causes no irritation.
- Provides intense hydration.
- Gives cooling sensation.
- Makes skin supple and healthy.
The Bad:
- Costly.
- Availability.
- Weird smell.
- Not be suitable for very oily skin.
Rating: 3.5/ 5
Overall, SaND for Soapaholics Deadly Face Mask is a good all natural handmade face mask that cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates well giving a supple and healthy skin. Apart from the smell and price, I loved this face mask. Dry skin and Normal skin ladies can give it a try. Not a must have though!!

I saw a lot of YouTubers detest its fragrance too. I did not receive this in my September Fab Bag and I have overtly oily skin type. So definitely not my kinda pack I guess 🙁
SaND for Soapaholics Deadly Face Mask has been on my wishlist for so long. But all of their masks are overpriced 🙁
Seems like an okay product 😐
My skin type is oily so I am going to give this one a pass.
