Wow. This is unexpected and a big news in the beauty industry. It has been only a while since Mamaearth acquired the salon brand BBlunt. News is that the parent company of Mamaearth, Honasa Consumer Private Ltd. has acquired a major stake on Dr.Sheths’s. Dr. Sheth’s is a popular skincare brands whose products uses evidence based active ingredients with a touch of traditional ayurvedic ingredients.
Dr Sheths will still be under the leadership of the original owner Dr Aneesh Sheth, who will also continue with the innovation of the products. Plans are that Honasa will help scaling their digital first approach to increase the growth of the brand.
We have reviewed some of the Best Dr.Sheths Products on TBIO. Our favourites are the Cica and Ceramide Overnight Repair Serum and Haldi & Hyaluronic Acid Sleeping Mask.
It should be noted that both Dr Sheths and Mamaearth was founded in the year 2016. Honasa Consumer Pvt Ltd is also the parent company of The Derma Co, Aqualogica and Ayuga.
We are curious to see what would be the next brand that Mamaearth acquires. The fast growing brand is also planning on extending to the neighbouring Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangaladesh as well as the UAE.
