Day creams are specifically made for day time use. Most of them come added with an SPF so as to protect our skin from sun damage. I don’t particularly prefer using Day Creams everyday as most of them come with heavy formulas. I like my day creams to be mattifying and light on the skin. Anything that makes my oily skin even more oily is a big no for me. Himalaya Youth Eternity Cream is a recent launch with promising claims. It claims to be a non-greasy day cream with an SPF of 15 which is what I am looking for.
Himalaya Herbals launched the Youth Eternity Range targeting aging skin with three products

My take on Himalaya Youth Eternity Cream:
Packaging: I like brands that launch their products in various sizes. It allows us to try out the smaller versions first, before getting bigger packs. I choose to buy the smallest pack of 10 ml. It comes in a tube form which looks like a sample product. The other two versions come with a bottle like packaging having a pump dispenser. All three products from the Youth Eternity Range have the same packaging design. It looks quite attractive to me. The product comes housed in a card box with details about it printed on it.
Color & Fragrance: Himalaya Youth Eternity Cream is baby pink in color. It has a sharp herbal fragrance. It is not loud, but still I did not like it. The scent vanishes soon after application.
Texture & Formula : Himalaya Youth Eternity cream is lotion like rather than ‘cream’. It is almost like Lacto Calamine Lotion but this is a tad bit thicker. You will hardly need a few seconds to apply this cream. It spreads and blends so easily on the skin. The cream gets absorbed really fast and gives a well moisturized skin. The cream leaves no tint or white cast despite having spf. It just moisturizes the skin without leaving any product residue behind. The cream sets to a dewy, soft to touch skin. I could very well feel the silicones in it. The dimethicone in it makes the cream work well under makeup. It acts as a primer and a good base for makeup. However, people allergic to silicones should skip this cream altogether.
Performance: For me, skin type and weather condition plays a major role while testing Day Creams. I had tested this cream during the winters when my skin isn’t very oily. I’ll have to say it fares well in cooler conditions. I did not see oily peeking through my skin for long hours. It was rightly balanced with adequate moisture and hydration. However, I’m still skeptical about its performance during the summers. Not even a single day cream has worked for me in the summers. So I just stick to a basic gel moisturizer on humid days. I will update this post once again when I try this product during the summers. For winters, this is a nice day cream to try. This would suit all skin types. But I think dry skin types would need an additional layer of moisture.
As for it’s claims, I’m still not at that stage of wrinkles and age lines. So I cannot comment if it reduces wrinkles. It keeps my skin well moisturized and make it appear supple and plumped.

Do I recommend? Not really. Its not a bad cream as such. But its not that great either. Try it if you have aging skin. Also, the Himalaya Youth Eternity Cream is a bit pricey compared to other day creams available in the market.

I have tried the night cream from the same range and liked it very much. It really works on fine lines. Yet to try the day cream…
