Hada Labo Shirojyun Premium Whitening Lotion Review with Ingredient Analysis

Hada Labo Shirojyn Premium Moist Lotion

Korean beauty can take the world by storm, making banks, but it’s Japanese beauty that gets the most loyal customers. They tend to be very polite, like their culture, and give effort to the things that matter most. If you need a good product without fragrance and you will need it delivered, then look into the Japanese beauty space. Their Hada Laba and Biore are two of the most popular and well-rated brands in the world. They were there even before the Koreans took over. I always wanted to try their most popular toners, so when I got the chance to create an order on Amazon Japan, I did it without hesitation. So today I am going to review the Hada Labo Shirojyn Premium Moist Lotion, and if you are interested, then please keep on reading.

Hada Labo Shirojyn Premium Moist Lotion Full Ingredients

The active ingredients of this Hada Labo Lotion are

Tranexamic Acid has tyrosinase-inhibiting effects thereby reducing melanin production[1]. It’s a great ingredient to reduce pigmentation, skin discolorations, and dark spots.

Glycyrrhizic Acid is present in Licorice Extract. We’ve talked a lot about the Benefits Of Licorice Extract For Skin previously. Simply put, it’s an excellent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant[2] ingredient that soothes and calms the skin.

Apart from this, it has

2 Types of Hyaluronic Acid that provide immense hydration and plump skin.

It has Vitamin C Phosphate Mg which is Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, a stable form of Vitamin C derivative. This helps to brighten the skin tone and give a glow to the skin.

Vitamin E, also called Tocopherol Acetate, is an antioxidant and wound-healing ingredient.

Glycerin needs no introduction. It’s on par with Hyaluronic Acid in providing moisture and hydration to the skin.

It also contains preservatives and a few other cosmetic viscosity-controlling ingredients to give you that nice skin feel and finish.

How to use it?

This is a toner, so use it on clean skin after cleansing your face with a face wash.

Take a few pumps of the moist lotion on your palm.

Apply it all over the face and neck.

Make sure you apply it on damp skin as hyaluronic acid absorbs into the skin better that way.

Follow it up with a good moisturizer to lock the goodness of the toner and prevent transepidermal water loss.

Use it twice daily for maximum results.

Hada Labo Shirojyn Premium Whitening Lotion Review

Packaging:

The bottle and refill come in blue packaging where everything is written in the Japanese language. It looks like any other drugstore product. I don’t mind it, and it is usable. The packaging is plastic, which I don’t like for environmental purposes, so please, big brands, listen up!

Texture:

The product is semi-liquid, so it doesn’t drip down my hands, but it is not thick like other viscous toners. I like it the most because I can spread it over my damp face without using way too many products.

Fragrance:

The Hada Labo Lotion doesn’t have any fragrance, so sensitive-skin folks can use it without any hesitation. It doesn’t smell like anything, which is one of the most unique experiences I have ever had.

My Experience:

The Shirojyun Premium Moist Lotion from Hada Labo does deserve its hype. It is incredibly hydrating. It is so hydrating to the point that I don’t have to use too much moisturizer when using it. And that too even while using my Olay Retinol Cream. It brings up the brightness level.

I have used other products with or without this toner, and I can vouch that when I am not using this product, I can see that my dull skin is not shining anymore, so it is now much more in my routine. But when I am in AC, it sometimes pulls all the moisture from my skin, so I make sure to use facial oil or heavy cream at colder temperatures.

My sun spots are almost gone, and my hyperpigmentation is fading with continuous use. I am on my third refill, so you can say how much I like this.

Pros:

  • Contains two powerful brightening ingredients.
  • Fragrance-free and Alcohol Free.
  • It makes your skin very hydrated and moisturized.
  • One doesn’t need much when using this product.
  • It makes your skin very bright and helps with hyperpigmentation with continuous use.
  • It makes your skin glowy and even-toned like you just got from a facial.
  • It comes in big bottles and refills.

Cons:

  • Some may find it sticky because of the moisture overload.
  • The moist version can be too much for oily, acne-prone skin.
  • Not easily available in other countries and can be expensive if bought from Instagram stores.
  • Hyaluronic acid doesn’t work in dry, moisture-less weather.

My Rating: 4/5.
