Banish Those Black Spots On Your Lips

It’s one thing being ok with a ‘kala tika’ to ward off bad luck, but when the ‘kala tika’ is itself evil, then what do you do? We’re talking about black spots on your lips. Here’s how you can get rid of them with these failsafe home remedies.

Calling a mole on your face a beauty spot is alright; but please think before you sweetly decide to name those horrible spots on your lips the same.

If you see a spot on your lip, especially the lower one, something’s not right. A black mark on lip could mean one of several things, including a reaction to excessive smoking, a vitamin B deficiency, hormonal imbalance or just too much sun.

Whoa, the idea isn’t to send you into panic. It could be none of these reasons and in all likelihood just a small aberration in your body. Most dark patches on lips can be treated by home remedies and we’ve outlined a few simple ones here.

Lip black spot treatment is easy, and you will realise that you have the ingredients to nearly all the remedies at home.

Let’s get those spots under control, shall we?

#1 Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar (the raw or organic variety only) is a sure-shot way to tackle those annoying spots. The bleaching property of vinegar helps lighten the spots, over time removing them altogether.

-Apply apple cider vinegar to the spots on your lips.

-Leave it overnight.

-Splash cool water on your face in the morning.

Do this every night and you will see a noticeable lightening in a few days.

#2 Lemon juice

Another dark spot lip treatment in our kitty is the tangy lemon juice. The acidic nature and bleaching property of the lemon is an effective remedy for unsightly spots.

-Apply a few drops of lemon juice to your lips.

-Massage them gently with clean fingers or a cotton ball.

-Wash it off after 3-4 minutes.

-Dilute with 1-2 drops of water if the juice is too acidic.

Do this lip therapy once every day and you will see the spots disappear in no time.

Wondering how to get pink lips? Well, lemon juice also helps in lightening your lip colour!

#3 Beetroot juice

The nutritious beetroot already has an incredible number of tricks up its sleeves. It now seems that this amazing vegetable can also reduce dark patches. That black spot on lip, its nemesis is beetroot juice.

-Cut a thick slice of a beetroot.

-Dab it on your lips and keep at it for 4-5 minutes.

-You can wash the juice or let it stay for slightly redder lips.

Do this religiously for 2-3 months every day and you will see the spots disappear. It works faster if you use a chilled slice of the beet.

Here are a few ways to prevent the spots from coming back:

  • Eat a balanced diet that includes plenty of water, fresh fruits and green vegetables.
  • Maintain a good lifestyle, which means no smoking, lots of exercise and 6-8 hours of sleep.
  • Only use good quality cosmetics, like Olay, and always discard expired products.
  • Apply a chapstick of a higher SPF when you step out in the sun.
  • Better still, stay out of the sun.

Some of these remedies may seem to take a long time, but they are 100% natural and effective. Try them today.
