True Frog Deep Conditioning Hair Mask Review

True Frog Hair Mask

Everybody’s hair is different and I am happy that the Indian Market has evolved in producing some amazing haircare products that cater to a variety of hair types. One such brand that caught my eye is the True Frog. It’s an exclusive haircare brand that majorly stocks CG-friendly hair products. I love that their products are Silicone Free, Sulphate Free and Paraben Free. Their formulations are also Vegan Friendly. I was intrigued by their extensive range of products and so I made my first purchase with them during their Black Friday sale. Read on to learn about my experience with their most popular product – that is – the True Frog Deep Conditioning Hair Mask.

True Frog Hair Mask Review

Packaging:

The hair mask comes in a white box which looks bulky but all hair masks do so I am not complaining about it. But the thing is – when you open the top lid, there is another lid that you would need to pull out before getting the product out. So here comes the problem, you are in the shower with wet hands and the second lid is very hard so your hand slips a lot of the time and you have to put extra pressure. Someone impatient and with problematic hands will find it irritating.

Texture:

It has a medium-thick consistency with a velvety smooth texture. Precisely, it has the look and feel of typical hair masks and conditioners.

It spreads effortlessly on damp hair and detangles the hair in no time. I could easily work with my fingers to detangle my hair knots.

Fragrance:

The hair mask has a faint and soothing scent to it. It does not linger long and doesn’t bother me much as I like nicely scented hair products, unlike skincare where I prefer them to be fragrance-free.

My Experience:

I have to be very honest – I like the product but I am not in love with the product.

Yes, it does do what is supposed to do. It hydrates and moisturizes hair and manages it to be frizz-free. The hair looks shiny and fresh without making it rough.

My thin hair doesn’t look flat even after a day or two because it’s not ultra-rich in moisture. People with very coily hair would find it to be ordinary. It doesn’t define the curls or waves of my natural hair.

If you have voluminous hair, you might have to use a lot of products for it to be effective.

All in one, it’s a nice hair mask but it doesn’t have that extra oomph. It doesn’t do anything for your dandruff and itchy hair. But it does help in detangling and repairing damaged hair ends.

Pros:

  1. Silicone free
  2. Makes your hair shiny, hydrating, and very moisturizing.
  3. Makes your hair voluminous as well.
  4. Detangles hair quite well.
  5. Good for the price.
  6. Manages your hair and makes it frizz-free.

Cons:

  • Bulky packaging.
  • Not rich enough for coily hair.

Would I recommend it? It’s not worth the full price but if you can get it at a discount then I would say you can try the product.
