Actress Nayanthara launched her own skincare line 9skin.
South Indian Actress Nayanthara aka Lady Superstar launched her own skincare brand 9skin on 29 September 2023.
Founded in association with her husband Vignesh Shivan and a Singapore Entrepreneur, the premium brand is targeted towards Indian, Singaporean, and Malaysian audiences.
Strangely the brand reminds us of the infamous 82°E by Deepika Padukone, following the same philosophy of “nature and modern science”. The pricing and products are comparable too – like the expensive price tag for a daytime moisturizer and the product branding marketing them with Indian herbs like Aswangandha, and Licorice Roots.
9skin products are Sulphate-free, Paraben-free, and Free from harmful chemicals. The products use “Nano Technology” in making their products.
There are a total of five products launched in the initial phase – with three of them being serums and two of them being moisturizer creams.

1. ETERNELLE – Anti-Aging Serum
This is an anti-aging serum that revitalizes, repairs, and restores skin. It contains Centella Asiatica, Gingko Biloba, and Ashwagandha in an aloe aqua base.

2. ILLUMINATE – Glow Serum
This is a glow-boosting serum that reduces acne marks, and pigmentation and makes your skin bright and radiant. This serum can be thought of as a Vitamin C Serum as it contains Kakadu Plum which is rich in Vitamin C. It also contains Bakuchi which is considered a natural retinol alternative, and Licorice Root which is a great brightening and soothing ingredient.

3. SKINTILLATE – Booster Oil
This is said to be a lightweight yet nourishing oil that gives you glowing skin from within. The booster oil is a blend of Sunflower Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Brahmi Oil, Kumkumadi Oil, and Vitamin E Oil. Since this contains a bunch of oils, tread carefully if you are prone to acne and breakouts.

4. REVIVE – Day Cream
This is a day cream that hydrates and moisturizes the skin. It contains plant extracts such as Ashwagandha, Licorice, Calendula, and Kakadu Plum, butter like Mango Butter and Kokum Butter, and essential oils of Rose, Orange, and Vanilla.

5. REJUVENATE – Night Cream
This is a night cream with anti-aging benefits that helps you to wake up with soft hydrated skin. It contains Nano 24k Gold which is said to increase elasticity and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains oils like Hemp Seed Oil, Pumpkin Seed OiI, Babichi Seed Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, Seabuckthorn Oil, and butter like Mango Butter, Sal Butter, and Essential Oils of Saffron and Lavender.
